Studying Religion in Culture

You don’t have to wear a toga to study ancient Rome.

And you don’t have to be religious to study religion.

We study religion as one aspect of human cultures, not something that exists separately from them. We use the same tools and methods employed in other fields — like anthropology, history, and political science — to study human behavior.

So no, you don’t have to be religious to study religion at UA — you just have to be curious about how cultures work.
